Hi guys,I’m just back in from a trip down to London where I tried my first MK Low D whistle and I must say I was impressed.
Overall and nice solid sound rather like that of the improved Howard but with more balls.
They are anodised which ,when sweating, can slip out of your hands quite easily, something to watch out for.
Very well constructed and a well balanced tone and volume through both octaves.
I have got the whistle for 2 days and will post an in depth PRO-FILE at the weekend BUT for you eager beavers I have posted an on the spot PRO-FILE at… you know where.
At £145 UK stg ($275 approx) it is in the upper bracket for whistles but I would say that it’s well worth every penny if you like that throaty fat kinda sound.
This whistles is not at all made by hand and the precision shows,I would expect every one of these whistles to be identical or at least VERY close.
Enjoy the clip.
You can find the PRO-FILES clip in the MOVIES section at the Kerrywhistles website.

It’s got a lovely warm sound. Can’t wait to see the formal video.
What a great looking whistle! Sounds nice too.
Nice little profile, once again Phil. I’m always impressed with how openly you exhibit other makers products. It’s a great service and it says a lot about you - though you’ve heard that before and don’t need to hear it from me. Good on ya anyway!
Thanks Cranpiper,I just create what I would have liked to have had when I just started out,a reference point.
Phil.
Well, it’s certainly helped me, and I’m sure many others. I’m indebted.
