Hello all I have been off line due to a serious crash of my computer
It feels good to be back.

On sunday Oct. 30 2005 which happens to be my birthday I took my daughter to her step dance lesson @ the Commodore Barry Irish center
in Philadelphia.
when her lesson ended she came out to tell me that a man was selling
very pretty whistles in the other room well being the whistle addict that I am I had to investigate. The gentleman selling the whistles was none other than Mr. Michael Copeland Himself man what a treat to meet and speak to a true artisan of the craft We chatted for a good 20 minutes before my 7 and 8 year olds forced me to take them home :sniffle:
what a wonderfull experience. I wish I had more time to talk he told me to look him up and drop him a e-mail and maybe stop by his shop wow am I lucky or what :smiley: what a truly good birthday

But what I want to know is - how come Mr Copeland was at the Commodore Barry Irish center when he should have been back in his workshop making that Sterling Silver high ‘D’ that I ordered a few weeks ago ? :smiley: :smiley:

yeah, Michael’s a really great guy. I had the opportunity to meet him many moons ago in philly. this was before he moved to his new shop. i’d driven down from boston promptly after he alterted me about a nice new batch of C whistes off hot of the presses. got to see his shop, which was super fascinating. and i tried out all the C whistles in the batch, about 7-10, and i picked out the one i liked the most. my C whistle is far and away my favorite whistle of all time. and it may very well be the best whistle ever made in the history of the universe, imho of course.
