I just received a brass Copeland (D) and you were right - it’s simply outstanding. I couldn’t be more pleased. What’s more I “lucked out” and found that David Migoya from Fyfer Restorations had one for sale (and at a super price) so I was able to bypass the usual long waiting period.
David deals in some of the worlds finest instruments and I visit his site often just to look at the old world flutes (and dream). But, he does have whistles from time to time and it’s a real treat dealing with him.
At any rate all I can say is “what a way to start a new year.” Now if I could just learn to play well, but that’s another story.
