Hi all, I just want to give a heads up to anyone interested that I just put my very nice Copeland Low D whistle up for bid on ebay. (Yes, I know this is the “flute” forum, but people here know me so…) She’s in perfect order, polished up, greased the slide, no dents, teeth marks, etc… and I even washed the smuttzz out of the wind way!
I had Michael custom make this one for me around 2002. It has the bottom most hole slightly offset (toward the right if your playing it) to help with the reach. (Sorry lefties… oh… forgot, I AM a lefty! … just play like a righty). I just don’t play her enough. I’m really a flute player (and flute maker) and have a Copeland 4 keyed grenadilla that I love and would not part with for the world, but I will be moving soon (not too far) and have to let go of a few things in order to finance the move. Mike sells these for $475 and mine’s up for $280 with no reserve.
Here’s the link if anyone’s interested:
Now… on a more “flute” related topic, I just finished up a large batch of my fine tuned bamboo flutes. I now have every key in stock, no waiting, and soon hope to put music samples up of every key on the site as well. As yet there are only a couple. (Makes me a bit nervous to unveil it amongst all you great players out there) I will follow up when they are posted. I have no HTML savvy, and I must rely on my web enabler for these things. There ARE photos up, just follow the links on my site… some of them are real players. I’m really enjoying the G and F these days just because they are so easy to play, being in the middle and all, higher than a flute, lower than a whistle, (excepting of course the monster whistle above!)
Thanks to all that ordered a flute this month. (more reviews! I need more reviews!)
(P.S. I never post on the whistle forum, being more the flute nerd, but I will probably post this message over there as well, please forgive.)
