With a new arrival coming soon (a full set) I have for sale a very nice practice set: it´s a Preshaw made of ebony, boxwood mounts and brass (and it has four handmade keys). It would need a new reed, better suited for it´s new location (I know of several reedmakers, including Mr. Preshaw himself, who´ll make good reeds for it).
It´s a really nice concert chanter, barely played (in very good condition), with a balanced, full and rich sound, with strong and solid hard D. Martin makes one of the best D chanters out there, no doubt (I believe that John McSherry played a Preshaw chanter in the first album of Lúnasa). You can listen Martin´s instruments in his web:

I´ll post good photos later. 1550€, shipping anywhere included.
What’s the price of a new one from Martin?
Hi! Last year I was suggested by Mr. Preshaw himself to ask around that price (1400 GBP, really) for such set. I forgot to say that I´ll add some good spanish cane tubes (from Medir) for new reeds, if you know how to make them.
Ok, i had a full set back in -96-98, quit playing and sold the set then and haven’t kept check on prices since. Just thought it sounded steep (no offense) it’s probably just me who need adjusting/reality check
As far as i can remember i payed £ 500 for my original practice set from Robbie Hughes
Martin Preshaw has just written to a friend: Actually the price for a similar keyed practice set is 1700 GBP (1930,43 € right now, according to XE.COM).
Thanks!
Again - i was not trying to haggle or be offensive, as i said i just don’t have a clue anymore
