Lowered prices on Serpent Brassy Polly tuneable

This announcement has been okayed by Dale.

Effective immediately: Serpent Music has discontinued the non-tuneable Brassy Polly, and lowered the price for the tuneable Brassy Polly from $25USD to $20USD. Anyone who purchased a tuneable Brassy Polly from me within the last 30 days and paid $25, please send me email and I will refund $5 to you via PayPal, or extend a $5 credit toward other merchandise, whichever you prefer.
Happy Holidays,
Bill Whedon, “serpent”
Serpent Music

P.S. Newsletter members, sorry you didn’t hear it first, but this was something I’ve been thinking about for a while, and made a rather quick decision about. I wanted to make sure everyone got the word as quickly as possible.

Cran wonders out loud, “How many commercial announcements from serpent will Dale approve?”

Cran also wonders out loud, “What’s the point of having a newsletter to announce these things if you also announce practically every one of them here?”

Who cares if he posts? I don’t

JP

This has been mauled over before, John. It doesn’t involve serpent posting, it involves commercial posts, and people bending the rules. There is apparently no problem from the board admin bending the rules, but I know I can’t be the only person who notices serpent bends them much more than anybody else. I simply wonder why Dale lets serpent post commercial posts all the time.

This has nothing to do with my feelings for the person that is serpent, it only has to do with all the commercial posts. Look back a couple pages and you’ll see that they’re literally everywhere. I would feel the same if they were coming from anybody else.

I’ve said before many of this forums rules don’t work. I question the point of having rules at all if you’re not going to follow them.

How does this differ from people discussing moral issues? I don’t see much difference. At least Serpent’s thread is about whistles. I know this has been discussed before, but this is Dale’s board, and he says it’s OK. So I do not see a problem. You are just trying to start a fight. And some people stand to get some money back with this info.

JP

There are no rules guiding moral issues posts.

There are rules guiding commercial posts.

Simple as that.

And the one who made the rules says it’s OK. Actually, other whistle makers post ads, but nobody seems to make an issue with them. Anyway, this issue has been discussed enough. I do see your point.

And the one who made the rules says it’s OK.

I was just bringing attention to situation. I am virtually the only one who ever does but I know for a fact that I am not the only poster who feels this way.

Actually, other whistle makers post ads, but nobody seems to make an issue with them.

Because they follow the rules for the most part. Serpent does not.

Anyway, this issue has been discussed enough. I do see your point.

Thanks.

I want the last word!

You’re welcome

Cranberry,
Please… give it a rest.
you’ve got 53 posts in 2 days.
Go read a book or something.

Yeah, I see exactly where you’re coming from, Tony. I’ve had an…awake… last couple days. But a lot of those 50-some are substantive. I see nothing wrong with them.

Besides, I don’t have any good books to read.

I disagree.

Cranberry, (hint) you need to exercise restraint. You’re totally out-of-control.
I’m calling this to your attention in a friendly manner now before you start annoying the other members of this message board.

Now we’re going to turn a commercial whistle thread into a moral thread?? What is the world coming to??

I am excersizing restraint, there are a lot of things I wanted to post, but thought twice about, and didn’t. I’m not out of control. I know you’d call it to my attention in a friendly manner, I just disagree with your assesment. Thank you for looking out for me, though. I appreciate it.

I will be no longer responding to serpent’s posts for the forseeable future, however.

No offence, cran, but aren’t there 1,000,000,000,000 more important things for anybody to think about than what some guy in another state is posting on an internet message board?

Ugh. If you don’t like these posts, then don’t click on them. Whenever you see a serpent post, pretend it doesn’t exist. Dropping flames in every one you see is just silly.

Hallalujah! :really:

Thanks for the information Serpent. Sounds like a great deal to me. Also thanks to Dale for approving the post. BTW maybe we need guidelines on moral posts. They are far more offensive than commercial posts.

Ron

Not that I’m privy to the complex workings of the Undisputed Mind, but maybe this post got approved because Bill is asking people to let him give them money back, rather than asking people to buy something from him. In any case, I think it’s very decent of him to do that so nobody feels they got screwed. Good going, Bill!

I for one am glad to hear when prices go down!
