Looking piston in D

Hi !

I want to buy a piston in D. Maybe you can recommend master who can make it, or the shop where to buy over the Internet ?

I’m sorry, but I gotta ask… What are you talking about?

I had to look it up myself. It’s one of these. I think …

Yes, what do you mean by “piston”? Maybe a slide whistle or song whistle? Sometimes called a “piston whistle”.

American Plating make a song whistle that is available from many vendors on the internet. And slide whistles are usually not designated in any particular key.

Or yes, it could be the other thing.

Rustic oboe. Sort of thing …

Might be worth checking some of the hautboy makers to see if they do pistons.

Edit, I see now the piston is a modern instrament.
From the Wiki, it seems some makers are Hervieux & Glet, Jean-Luc Ollivier and Eric Ollu.

Oh look! There it is again …

The thread is moving faster than I can read and type.

Because this thread is piston-powered!

Yes, it is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piston_(music)
