My employer is sending me to Houston for several weeks starting Aug 20th. As a result, I’m looking for some folks who might want to get together and play. I’ll be bringing some whistles, but primarily play guitar (12 string) in sessions. I’m not good enough for accomplished or advanced sessions but do okay at the intermediate levels.
My plan is to spend 5 weeks concentrating on my job and my music without all the pleasant distractions of house and family. I’ll be working and staying downtown, it would be great to meet some fellow whistlers.

I’m in Houston, and will be happy to show you around…but as far as I know, there are only two established sessions..one on a Wednesday, and one on a Sunday. Neither of them are what I’d call “intermediate”, though they don’t mind much if folks just jump right in. Occasionally, you’re liable to see the likes of EJ Jones of Clandestine or Turloch Boylan (mentioned in a recent C&F newsletter). Feel free to drop me a line in private mail if you’d like.
