Lon dubh on ebay with a few hours left, at a reasonable price, it seems to be a new style one Blackwood lower half with a brass top section and delrin mouthpiece and fipple, I have read jessies review on the all Blackwood version, has anyone played this new style Lon Dubh, It looks nice but I’m a bit concerned about the wall thickness, not that I’m going to knock nails in with it. I have also searched the web an although made in Ireland it can only be purchased through whistle and drum in the states,
I am based in the UK but travel to county cork 2 or 3 times a year, anyone know a contact for mr O’Dwyer, as it would be nice to get a UK
price on one, just to give you an example of price differences, I can get a lovely ralph sweet pro high d for $ 135 in the USA, in the UK it will cost me £ 135 sterling, even with the vat and duty it would only be about $160 as opposed to $250. anyway i’m rambling, any info on wall thickness and experiences with the new Lon dubh would be appreciated.
