Kinda OT: Does Anyone Know What Time It Is (Or Really Care?

I was curious what time zone this new forum server is in because the times listed on posts are always so wonky.

Its not just me is it?

Naw but we had to re-set em when the new Display came back up.. I was on GMT for a while, so it was usually tomorrow, which was kinda cool. But I since went to PROFILE and changed it to GMT -8, the Weekender Time Zone… Guess you are GMT -5 Kev!

I changed mine to GMT-5, which is what I am supposed to be, but it still shows GMT (I think…) So who knows what’s up with that! Or do I have to log in to get the right time? That seems messed up, if that’s the case.

Heh, well I probably live nearer Greenwich than anybody else on the board, so I’m happy to stick with GMT!

Hey I got it. Thanks, didnt realize I had the power to control time, but now all is well.

I think you have to be logged in for it to display the time zone set in your profile. Otherwise it’s GMT or UTC or Zulu or whatever you like to call it.

It took me three days to figure out how to set my time zone correctly…

Wierd, but now I get it…ya have to log on to change the time to your zone, but also you have to be logged in inorder for the time to display in your time zone. If you arent logged in, yoru computer wont remember your profile setting and you’ll still get Wonky Time. Thanks Mike and all… I thought once you logged in and specified your setting it would remember iteven if you arent logged on later.

I go practice fiddle now…
