Hi, interested to know if anyone might know the maker…The seller says ther’s no makers mark but it does’nt not look typical of some lower-end flutes I’ve seen

Well, if you look a little closer, the crown is much thicker than Martin Doyle’s, more like an M&E crown.
And the rings are flat, unlike the above picture of Doyle’s as well. So I think it’s open to speculation at this point.
Very hard to tell.. to me it looks like a Martin Doyle, but then it ought to have some “branding”
I might as well ante-up and place my bid as well!

What is flute 2 in this picture?

I love the length and the style of it. The embouchure hole looks very elongated too, which I guess produces a very unusual tonal range.
Or alternatively, is best suited for someone with a wide smiling grin 
#2 flute would be a Mark Hoza from down unda’.
