Just released my first CD " The Long Trip Home"

Hello everyone,

Just recovering from the Catskills week and thought I would announce that I with help from a couple of friends released my first CD “The Long Trip Home”. Let me know what you think. I put three of the 15 tracks up on my file sharing site.

Sean McComiskey - Accordion, Jim Eagan - Fiddle and Brendan Bell - Flute are playing with me on these tracks. I supplied the Flute and guitar accomp. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Josh. I’m getting ready to give it a listen.

Like your siggy quote.

Nice! Like it very much indeed!

Josh,
Nice music! Can this CD be purchased by the common man for extended
listening?

Also, I noticed recently that Laura Byrne changed her name to Laura Byrne
Egan. I thought maybe she married an Eagan after I left MD, but I realized
that it’s spelled differently. What am I missing?

Very nice, Josh. That’s quite a line-up you have. I especially like your tasty guitar work (dropped-D, I think?). The variations on “Lark” are fun. Best of luck with the album.

Hey Fearfaoin,

It can be purchased at Celtic Grooves www.celticgrooves.homestead.com/CGhome.html starting on Wednesday. Also should be able to download the album from CD baby by next week.

Yea, Laura married great guitar player Pat Eagan on Chulrua. They are in Baltimore raising hell at the sessions!!!

I found this quote to be true in every sense of the word. It speaks to me deeply.

Good stuff and I’m sure it’ll do very well from what I heard. Sounds like DADGAD tuning to me.

Unless you’re talking about purchases, I hope you meant “10,000 Goodbyes” and not “buys”! (without apostrophe) Sorry…it’s the magazine text proofer in me and only bring this up since it’s going on a CD.

Hey Ballyshannon

Your ear proves you right. I am in dadgad. Such a great tuning for Trad.

It is suppose to be goodbyes. I put that link up late last night. :sniffle:

I can relate from many late nights when I wasn’t sure how to even speak anymore. :astonished:

I wish you only the best with the CD. Do you plan to tour and promote it?

DC

Nice!

Thanks Scott
