Just released my first CD " The Long Trip Home"

Hello everyone,

Just recovering from the Catskills week and thought I would announce that I with help from a couple of friends released my first CD “The Long Trip Home”. Let me know what you think. I put three of the 15 tracks up on my file sharing site.

Sean McComiskey - Accordion, Jim Eagan - Fiddle and Brendon Bell - Flute are playing with me on these tracks. I supplied the Flute and guitar accomp. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Josh,

Really nice flute playing, for sure-I play a little flute too, but nothing as nice as yours sounds! Good job.

And I just want to tell you also that I loved your guitar backup-just listened to The Munster Grass! Maybe most flute players will only hear the melody, but you do some really sweet backup on your guitar! It adds so much to the music, I think-so yeah, great stuff! Thanks for the clips!

Sounds good Josh. I like the combination of instruments (the flute and accordion really work well together).

Thanks Barry,

That track is one of my favorites. I see you live in PA. Do you guys have a strong ITM scene up there?

I have come to love that Accordion Flute sound.

In Philly, sure. There’s the Commodore Barry club that hosts lots of ITM events and performers, through the Phila Ceili Group. No doubt there are other Philly sessions too. But, I’m more North, and I only have one session nearby in Ambler at the Shenachie Pub.

I’m counting pennies until I can order mine.

I forget how fortunate I am in this area. We can play almost every night of the week.
