jethro tull sheet music

ive been having some trouble finding sheet music for jethro tull song does anybody have any suggestions im especialy interested in bour’ee

the group several years ago published a book of Ian Anderson’s flute music. Incredible stuff with all the great classics.
I owned a copy, and after many years of non-use, sold it on eBay for…ahem…a lot more than I paid for it 20 years earlier.
But I kept a photocopy of the book for myself.

If you can wait a week (i’m out of town currently) I can send you a pdf of Bouree. (email me privately to remind me!) The music contains all the cool sh-t that IA uses in his flute playing, including the grunts and overblows and such. Great stuff really.

The many sides of David Migoya…
…brightened my morning…

I will tell Ian that next week.
he’s in town for two shows and I’ll be at the first.

Met him just once…long time ago. Not like Pat Olwell who probably gets regular visits or calls.
Love to hear Ian on a wood flute some day.

I will admit to twirling my flute and lifting my leg on occassion in a HS garage band. Not too many guys would try that in public. Fewer could pull it off.
I wasn’t one of them.

Twirling the Boehm…
well the keys are no help at all
the diameter and being cylindrical helps.

them conical ones behave funny…
…and I’m getting too old for the one foot thing,
always used the wrong one anyhow.

He is a darn good showman!

I would love to get a copy of the pdf as well
My wife just got a flute (she sold hers many years ago) and she loves Jethro Tull. It is hard to find flute sheet music for them. I have found lots of guitar though.

I want a copy too ~~
I love jethro tull and jazz flutist such as Herbie Mann, Roland Kirk …etc,
does any one like them too ?

Ernie from Taiwan

Erniejazz,

Herbie Mann’s, “Memphis Underground” was the wildest thing that I had heard as a wee lad and won my heart for the flute forever. Hubert Laws was also a big hero. Then came Ian just as I hit puberty. Talk about timing. I too would like a copy.

My sons name is Ian.

All the best, Leo

I ordered the Ian Anderson flute book off Amazon.com but was just informed after over a month that they can no longer get it :frowning:

Oh well.

That’s terrible..I still have it on my wishlist! I can’t even find it on ebay…blah!
