I have a copy of the pics
SCAM ALERT!
I requested the pictures for this flute and surprise surpise, the images are identical to this auction listing:
Note also the text…
Wow, you’re right! I wondered how the description could be so detailed when the seller (via email) seemed rather ignorant of what he had.
M31, have you contacted eBay’s fraud dept.?
Yes, but I wonder if bots run the show.
There was a scam flute auction from an Indonesian(?) seller (big surprise) a few weeks back. The pictures and description were yanked verbatim from a Web site. Though I had informed eBay nothing happened and when it wasn’t sold the first time, the darn thing was re-listed. Grrrr!
Bingo! ![]()
Whenever you see someone with a zero ebay rating list an expensive item, you should view the listing with skepticism, IMO.
It has been pretty dry on ebay lately, haven’t bought a antique flute in two weeks! Must be a good time for scammers… ![]()
Here is a Lot flute that went for a LOT! $6K!!! ![]()
M31, you’ve been successful in getting that auction removed this time. It no longer shows up.
Good heavens, eBay does care! Thanks for the update. ![]()
I don’t beleive it ! ![]()
I think I may have hit the same guy in my alter ego !! ![]()
I dunno. At least this listing has pictures, plus there’s no email address in the listing itself, which is a telltale sign. I Googled and couldn’t find a previous example of this particular unit being sold.
Go ahead, this looks more fun than an Olwell.

Good points…I couldn’t find (but do remember) a similar listing…(yet)
