Interchangeable reeds

I was looking through the tables of reed sizes in Dave hegartys book on reed making and I noticed that some concert pitch reeds are very similar to reeds from flat pitched pipes.
For instance the reed in a concert pitch tenor reg is nearly the same as some flat pitch chanter reeds .
Does a CP tenor reg reed play in a flat pitch chanter???

The reed sizes may look similar at first, but reg reeds are scraped with the intent of only playing in one octave. You don’t want your regs jumping octaves and squeeling when you add pressure for the chanter. So, no, I don’t think they are readily or easily interchangable.
