Goody! I live for being disapproved. Anyway, is that fair? Look at that skin-tight, skimpy teddy Lois is running around in (it’s a wonder the leopard hasn’t torn her apart already, since she’s wearing another leopard, but I digress). And how about that crypto-fascist ultraviolent imagery on the second cover? And the implications of the little woman under the multitentacular thing…won’t even go there. I move for reconsideration.
Oooops, just looked more closely…I suppose it could be the king…the sleeveless tunic and the necklace threw me off. And those shoes should die. But what am I, some sort of fashion maven? Guess I need new computer glasses.
Oh, I get it. It’s a leopard-skin skirt theme. But what exactly is going on in the distant background? And why does the caption say Lorna is alone, when it’s obvious from his actions that she and the gorilla are an item? Finally, observe the looping of the rope around ol’ Lorna’s wrist; in the next cel, we get to see her right hand get neatly clipped off. This, my friends, is why girls need to be able to go to Boy Scouts, at least the rope-and-knot parts.
The miniature men in skull masks are clearly on Lorna’s team. But why are they beating up the cowboy in the background?
(and what secret message is Bloom trying to send? Does he have a jungle heroine fetish? Well, obviously, but what is the intended message for the good people of C&F?)
