Ignore this post (unless you're a Tulsa recorder player)

I’m using it as a test to try to figure out how/if one goes about locking a thread one’s started.

“This (manifest world) is full, and that (unmanifest source from whence it springs) is also full. Fullness comes out of fullness. Taking fullness from fullness, all that remains is fullness.”

Well, I see now that it can only be done by the moderator, even with one’s own posting.

Beth, you might want to email or PM Rich and ask him to lock your “Everybody cut it out” post.

Best wishes,
Jerry

FYI there’s a test forum http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewforum.php?forum=4&403

Cool.

Thanks for the tip, Ridseard.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I know, Jerry. And I was hoping that people would respect my wish to not post in it.

See, posting to it, even in amusement like Tubedude did, dilutes the original message. And posting to it, telling other people not to post to it, doesn’t help either.

Maybe people will get the point. Maybe not.

They thought the Titanic was unsinkable, but even it finally sank.

It would be really odd if everyone got the point (it’s ok if I respond to THIS post, right?).

I wondered how long it would take to get busted!

BadaBING!

N, hah

Hey this thread USED to be called “Ignore this post unless if you’re Ava” so I am covered! LOL

Well,

You WERE covered, for a couple of hours there. We’ll have to look in the rulebook and see if that will still get you off.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I call for an instant replay! We do have sufficient camera coverage, don’t we?

And posting to it, telling other people not to post to it, doesn’t help either.

I suggest re-naming that thread “Any Tulsa Recorder players out there?”

I bet you wouldn’t get one more hit.

Well, except for Walden.

But I’m not in Tulsa. I’m like two counties away, or something.

But I’m not in Tulsa.

Well, neither am I!

Well, this seems to have degenerated into a private discussion between Kim and Walden. Can’t have that, so I’m going back to the original title, more or less.

Now, can we get on with that instant replay to decide whether Ava’s post counts or not? Officials, please report to the video booth.

Best wishes,
Jerry

Hmm… I wonder if it would be reasonable for me to post a thread and ask that nobody reply to it.

No, but it would be quite unreasonable to post a reply to a thread that nobody had started.
