The other day I found a 1000 NOK note. - That’s about 157 dollars or 86 pounds. If you would happen to be as lucky as me, what would you do with them if you were to use them; what would you spend them on?
Of course, I presume you would by a whistle…
(I’m trying to get the money back to its rightful owner, but I’d like to check what people are into buying these days nevertheless.)
That’s easy. I wasn’t lucky enough to find it, but I did just send off almost exactly that amount for a Burke brass soprano D…and am eagerly awaiting delivery!
A wooden Sweet C or D whistle: they have a sound so beautiful as to be otherworldly.
This from someone who during the same music-store visit tried a Copeland low D. Afterward, I found myself thinking, “The Copeland was stunning, but what I want is one of those Sweets.”
The costs of a litre of beer is high, yes. It’s still not even beaten by the petrol prices. Soon the price is about 13 NOK per liter, and rumours says that we may have to pay 15 NOK throughout the summer…
I’m addicted to the beauty of swords & daggers, medieval european ones in particular. Cant say why, I just am Darn things are so expensive though, someday I’ll have myself a nice collection I hope.
hehe… I understand. I collect/ed old Japanese blades. Has become darn expensive in the last 25 years. I’ve had to stop. Although I might roll one into a new flute. I hate selling them though… but its an investment trade off.
I also fence quite regularly… about 3 to 4 days a week. 150 clams will get you a reasonable electric foil/epee or sabre.
