This is my new Dublin vsb G. I’m posting this recording featuring my metronome (wind-up Wittner mini set at 184) because I wanted to share a practice technique–recording with the metronome and listening for breathing trouble spots. The Susato vsb inside diameter is about the same as the outside diameter of my Hoover Narrow Bore D.
The tune is Gravel Walk, the version I heard Mike Eskin play–mine only one time through. If I play this more than once thru with the G, I clog it. http://www.overland.net/~ysgwd/GravelWalk.mp3

Very nice playing Lisa… and nice to see another fan of the new VSB Susatos.
By the way, I have yet to run into a whistle that can’t be cured from clogging by coating the windway with Jet-Dry… although some of my whistles do require the treatment quite frequently.
Grannymouse,
Have you already tried Tony Higgins’s suggestion?
I cut this from the Clips & Snips main page:
Troubleshooting sound
If you have trouble listening to a tune (it skips/repeats a 1/2 second interval), you can right click on a link, choose “save target as,” wait a moment for it to do its thing, then download the tune to your harddrive before you listen. You can listen to a tune you downloaded while you are downloading another to save time. If the link seems to be fouled up, post a message on the board or email me [Tony].
