I would like to hear from you folks. On what you think
of his workmanship and other stuff. I’m looking forward
to getting my hands on one.
Thanks

Yes I agree

Nick’s workmanship is first rate. He made me some drones which I’m very happy with. He also loaned me one of his chanters while he was adding keys to mine. It was nicely tuned and had a lovely tone. Also, it has a very nice hard D - NEAAH mixed with a bit of GGRRRR. Great way to end a good driving reel!!! ![]()
Apart from his workmanship, he’s a very nice guy to deal with. Very responsive - I’ve never waited more than 24 hours for a reply to emails. Also, for the drones and chanter keys he was on time (when he said it would be 4 months for the drones, it was 4 months). Incidently, he quite a good piper.
For me, the mark of a good pipemaker is repeat business. I’ve asked Nick to make regulators for my half set and he has very kindly agreed. I also intend, in a few years time, ordering one of his D chanters, partly to complete the Whitmer set but also because I was so impressed with the chanter he loaned me.
In short, good move. You won’t regret it. ![]()

I have not played nor own one of Nick’s chanters, but I have listened to and played along with Nick in person many times. I know the sound of his chanter and sets well enough to know that you won’t be disappointed in either his workmanship or the quality and sound of his pipes!
