I also wish to inform everybody that I have temporarily stopped posting recordings of my playing on the forum. I think I haven’t posted in about a year but I thought it would be good to make an announcement anyway in case anyone out there is still patiently waiting for me to post my music in the forums.
Thanks to everyone who’s listened to my playing and offered comments and feedback about my playing on the forums.

I think that’s a shame Eld! You really shouldn’t let people’s comments about you needing more practise or that you should listen more, and record less, get to you.

I’ve been witness to Eld’s amazing progress on whistle, then Eld’s amazing progress on flute, then Eld’s amazing progress on fiddle, and now - God help us - Eld’s staggering progress on uilleann pipes. The man is a phenomenon.

Well, lately she’s been getting consistently better scores playing Phase 10 than I have, so I guess it’s true in my case! 
When Arleen and I play Uno, she always wins.

I got sort of annoyed at how long (and boring) it can get, so I made up a new version:
You can pick which “phase” you want to play, at any time, up until you lay it down (I mean, if you decide to do two sets of three, and later get cards to make them two sets of four, it doesn’t count). This is more fun because you never know what somebody is collecting… (“Is it tens? or a run? or… oh it was colours… oops”)
Back on topic:
I don’t think it is nice to mock Eld’s announcement! I for one have been away from chat for four months and the possibility of checking the message board and seeing a new clip from Eld was the only thing that got me up and at work in the morning. This is a real blow… I don’t know how I can move on from this!
