Artinoise launched a Kickstarter project for a new digital recorder called the Trillo. I decided to back it and reserve a unit for 69 Euros using their Early Bird offer.
It’s finger sensors are obviously designed after that of a recorder; but it is supposed to include both sounds and a fingering mode for the tin whistle according to the Comments section.
The project is now fully funded and it has 9 days left to go. Units can still be had for 79 Euros for anyone that wants to give it a go.
I’m hoping that this will finally be my solution for extended late evening practice. I’m now wondering if I should have instead opted for the Duo pack at 129 Euros.
This is the instrument’s design and it’s original colors.
After community feedback, they have begun working on a black prototype.
It looks interesting. The design is a bit like a kids toy I thought. Perhaps that is why they are designing a black version too.

No disagreement there. Artinoise’s original re.corder seems to had been targeted at the music education market.
But I see this Trillo as serving my needs for a silent practice instrument that I can use during late nights and for trips on the road. I was prepared to accept it even if it came in it’s white and (kindergarten) orange colors.
But I’m certainly happier that they will be offering an all-black model.
