Can someone tell me what a Humphrey D/Eb whistle (traditional bore) would sell for these days? (It has 2 tubes and one mouthpiece.) The tubes are brass and was made about a year before Gary switched to aluminum (I think).
Thanks for any help.

My guess, … whatever the market will bear. Gary is not presently, AFAIK, making whistles. And his whistles have a good reputation with many folks. Gary did make a variety of designs and models over time though. Do you have pictures? Gary pops in here occasionally to update his status.
I’d be interested if my situation were a little more liquid.

I have a Humphrey D, Eb set. My price is higher than any of you can affford.

Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t know what a reasonable price for a used Eb/D set would be.
I haven’t seen any sell recently, so I have no reference to go by.
You could list them on the Used Instrument Board and ask for reasonable offers.
I don’t believe that you’d be obliged to accept an offer you felt was too low.
Just a thought.
Edited to add a recent post I found of a Humphrey sale.

Good suggestion, Maki.
Thanks, Gary, for your response and especially for making a terrific whistle.
While I’m at the computer, Gary, what style whistle are you going to be making? If I get enough money from this and a couple of other whistles I’m going to post, I might be interested in a Bb.
I’ll be making majorly overhauled versions of Stealth and Journeyman whistles.
Stealth II (brass tubes) will be available from high G to Bb, and Journeyman II (aluminum tubes) will be available from high G to low D.
