I got a call from Seth Gallagher this week telling me that my 3/4 set is ready.
I plan on selling my Neil O’Grady practice set on Ebay to help pay the cost.
The set, about a year old, is playing extremely well; the chanter is concert pitch D with three keys.
I’m looking for some advise on what kind of a minimum bid I should set.
I suggest a low starting price ($100-200) and protect yourself with a reserve. Good luck with your auction, include a good photo. I think you will be pleased with the outcome.
Dan, I suggest you start at whatever you paid for it and determine what sort of a drubbing you can afford to take on the price. From there you can set a minimum (reserved) price. Then sit back and see what the market will bear.
Another way is to simply announce it here on this board. That’s how I sold mine, only took a bit of a hit, and saved the hosing I would have taken from eBay.
