I just bought more whistles :boggle:

I saw an auction on ebay for some whistles that seemed like a good deal. I paid $50.00 plus sipping for these whistles:
PARKS Every Whistles with Pouch Keys D & C (they were listed as walkabout odels but the picture showed a two piece whislte).
WHISTLE SMITH Key Low G
Tommy Dion Whistle Key Low D (No Makers Mark)


I have never played a low whistle before, and if it doesn’t work for me I still got a decent price for just the parks whistles.

I’d like to know the requirements for joining this chapter, please! I have 5 whistles in hand, another one on the way soon, and two more coming to try out. Also thinking about getting one of those Tony Dixon duos. How many more do I need for membership? :stuck_out_tongue: :smiley:

Edit: My 113 posts since March 24th should count for something toward membership in this chapter, don’t you think? :party:

You’d have to check with Cayden and/or Ytliek for confirmation, but I think it’s just a letter from your psychiatrist—or your significant other—and a photo of your collection posted on the sticky on the “home page” of the whistle forum…

I have a lot of guitars also. When asked how many I have (I really don’t know for sure but it is more than 20) I like to say “More than I need, but not as many as I want”

Hey! I just started! Give me time and I’ll be buying 'em by the truckloads! I erronously listened to a certain member here who suggested newbies needed to learn the one whistle they had first. But I’m cured of that! :thumbsup:

Now, as to the t-shirt - is there a specific design or color I need? Just say the word and it’s ordered!

Also, in case Steve is right, I can work on getting a pic of those whistles and my significant other (the cat) thinks one whistle is too many, so if that’s a criteria - I’m in!

Well, the one whistle approach is wise and works for some people so I wouldn’t discard it.

T-shirt…? ladies choice. Always! There are several options… this was mine.

As for uploading pics of collection in the sticky. I’m not going there unless you want to see all the beginner stuff. Gens, Feadog, Walton, Oak, etc.

BTW, I’m not sure I’m even “in” anything here membershipwise. There are way too many wise tooters around. I mean gunslingers.
Membership process, that’s above my paygrade. I’m still serving coffee/tea and swabbing decks here and proud of it. I just do what I’m told.

It turns out the Parks whistles were the three part Walkabout models.

I just need to place them in different rooms of the house that there is a handy whislte whenever the mood strikes :wink:
