I’m confused about what the picture is in The Undisputed’s new avatar.
I always look to Dale for leadership in avatar fashion, but I’m confused by this one.

It’s an aerial view of an adding machine that has run out of tape. There’s some sort of deep significance there, but it eludes me.

I’ve always regarded Cranberry as the avatar guru.
How could I have missed it?
An obvious allusion to the pervasive evil of technology and increasing lassitude of mankind. With a subtle yet poignant nod to the iconic Maytag Repairman…symbol of our becoming slaves to our own slaves.
And yet, the technology lies in the palm of Man’s hand…an obvious testament to the true power of the human spirit. And, from the darkness above the relay, can be seen the fingers of judgement pointing…pointing at us. As if to ask “Man, will you also submit? Or will you rise up and reclaim your place?! Rise up O’ Man and take back the night. Reclaim that which you have lost…the dignity of beating your clothes on a rock in the river…your birthright, sold for a bowl of pottage with soap bubbles in it!”
The artist declares, “We will not go quietly into the night! Nay, we will not continue to degrade ourselves, grovelling as a race at the altar of ease!
We will reclaim our right to wear clothes that smell bad!”
That may be the most sublime thing I’ve ever seen. Thank-you Dale.
Cranberry compete with that? …And with a pair of re-cycled bosoms? Hah! No I think not. There is but one Undisputed.

I recognized Cranberry’s avatar. I took a picture of that picture back in February when I saw it.
Okay, so there’s this Irishman named O’Man. I get that bit, but what’s all this laundry stuff about?

Oops, it was a fridge wasn’t it…thought it was a washing machine for some reason. My bad. It ain’t easy being an art critic.
Rise up O man and reclaim your right to eat warm and slightly spoiled food!
