Just an FYI. The Smithsonian is having its annual Heritage/Folk festival on the mall in DC soon. They’re already setting it up. Here’s a link for anyone interested in the Irish portion. There’ll be a lot to see just with this one!
So, what you’re trying to say, if I get your meaning, is that there’s a Heritage/Folk Festival in DC. Am I reading you? hee hee hee
Tom
Did I say that?!
What I meant to say was that there is a Heritage/Folk festival coming up in DC soon.
And there will be an “on-going” session right in the center of the whole thing.

Sessions—informal gatherings
of musicians, singers, and
storytellers—are the heart of Irish
traditional music. Today, sessions
usually take place in pubs and public
spaces rather than in private houses.
They are essential to preserving
and transmitting Irish songs, tunes,
and music. Although performers
of all levels are welcomed to “sit
in,” session leaders maintain proper
etiquette and customs. We are
honored to have several of Northern
Ireland’s most prominent session
musicians lead an on-going session
on the Lough Erne Inn stage.
I’ll be there the 27th through 30th. ![]()
