Hiya everyone.. i’m curious if anyone might be able to help ID these pipes ? They’re my fathers and we’re trying to find out who the maker might be. Would love to know your thoughts! As I’m a new user I can only add one image im afraid. Hopefully I can add more soon!
You might get more Highland bagpipe experts over at the Bob Dunsire forum. Lots of folks ask about ID’ing there and the group is very knowledgeable. Have you tried pulling the cord off the top of the bass drone (the long one) to look at the groove where the cord sits. Sometimes the name of the marker is engraved there.
Hiya.. thanks for your reply! we just took a look and can’t see anything under the cord
i’ll try over at the Bob Dunshire forum! Thanks!
You could also try the r/bagpipes group on reddit
ok will give that a go to
thanks!
With those closed beaded ferrules my guess would be David Naill.
They’ll be stamped in the cord guides, I think.
