Since I’ve done the O’Neill’s site up http://www.sosyourmom.com/Oneils1.html I keep getting requests from GHP people for “Irish Tunes for Scottish Bagpipes”. The latest comes from a lad looking for online music for his octopus. If you know of any sites like that, I’d be obliged if you’d email me at vince@sosyourmom.com and I’ll relay it along to him.
Two jigs that work well are The Blackthorn Stick and The Kesh. Terry Tully has a book of Irish tunes for Scottish pipes. Abandon his gracings though. There is also an old Mozart Alan publication from the 1920’s. It has been reprinted on cd rom by ceolsean.com and ends up on ebay once in a while. I’ll post more when I’m not hung over. It’s my 33rd bithrday today and the celebrations started well last night.

Tadgh Crowley published a book of Irish tunes for the warpipes in the 1930’s; I’d imagine it’s long out of print now, though. He was a maker of uilleann pipes, based in Cork; and also put out a tutor for that instrument around the same time.
