viperpiper.com(maybe it’s .net). i think there is a bobdunsire.com or something that has a message board and certainly links to music.
What kind of pipes do you have in mind? There are a lot out there, you know, and they have rather different approaches to notating music.
For Scottish pipe tunes the most legit way is to go to Jim McGillivray’s site PipeTunes.ca. The catalog is growing and lots of popular tunes are there.
I have used Jim McGillivray’s site. It is a great service.
You purchase points and use them to buy PDFs and MP3s.

Those lessons are pretty good value I reckon - for $4 you get the dots in PDF, the tune in MP3 and an MP3 file with the instructor going through the tune pointing out things to pay attention to. Great for beginners and learners.

I hadn’t seen Patrick’s site. We were flat mates on a trip to the Worlds some years ago.
Jori’s tune lessons are good. I had a few private lessons from Jori. He was doing an iPod drawing and went ahead and downloaded a 2/4 march I liked. It’s a bit like the Scoiltrad lessons but with no evaluation.
Has anybody checked out Roddy MacLeod’s piobaireachd site yet?
OK, so I checked out Roddy’s site but it is still under construction. I think I’ll enquire about his first volume of tunes though as it has some Silver Medal tunes I want to learn.
Also, The College Of Piping is selling individual tunes from the Piobaireachd Society collections and you can get Mp3’s too.
Any other piobaireachd players here?
Thanks to you all for your generous suggestions, they are really helping. Yuri, you make a good point, I guess I just assume that people know what I’m looking for, I should have been more specific. I was looking for GHB tunes as I play and own several sets ; in addition, I play Scottish Small Pipes (I’m very fortunate to have a beautiful set made by Colon Ross among other sets, but I favor that one the most), and also play Uilleann Pipes (which, by the way continue to confound me on a daily basis) as well as the tin whistle and several kinds/ types of flute. I can say with a great deal of honesty that I play none of them well, yet I love the challange, instruments and music with a deep passion. Thank you all again, you are so kind to help out. Don.
I you want to play Scottish pipe music and are serious about it, you should buy the Scots Guards Collections vol 1 and 2. There you’ll find every tune you need to know.

Excellent! There are other collections you might want to look into later on, and heaps of new books (with hornpipes to last you a lifetime 
) but the Scots Guard’s books have most of the light music you need to know (and then some…).
