Hello

is the Wille Clancy week big is there alot of people that go there like? will i meet up with your 16 year old friend nicola? x

Scotty, there will be absolutely tons of pretty lasses there! Manys a marriage has been formed at the willy week!

But…must…focus…on…lessons…must…not…get…distracted…by…maidens…

There’s a lot of people there, but the cool thing is that the pipers are kind of a little community in themselves. Our classes are in a separate area; we have our own tea breaks where all the pipers get to hang out and say hello, and we have our own separate lunchtime concerts (assuming it is still set up the same way as when I was there in 2004).

So you get to meet all the other pipers, and the teachers hang out with everyone too, so you can ask them questions & chat.

You will definitely meet Nicola, she is really nice but she might be hard to impress. Good luck though.

J.

 Yup, he’s a piper. Be careful now Scottyboy, the object of Willie Week is piping, not getting hit on the head lessons.

Yeah, considering John and Justine will have to have clubs to fend off all the guys going after Nicola that week.

Yes, I have to take my chaperoning responsibilities seriously.

I think Joseph hit the nail on the head there, though…I’d say Nicola can take care of herself pretty well, so watch out boys!

J.

:really: Hmmm..Scotty ye obviously need to have a few more lessons

Hi Justine

Is your husband going too to help with the chaperoning or are you getting away for the week?

Keep playing that pretty Rogge set of yours.

Hi Douglas,

Yes, John will be there, too. He’ll be taking banjo classes in between the chaperoning. We’re not married yet, though, even though everyone thinks we are cause we’ve been together so long…Wedding’s in September, so you’ll see the new married Justine at your next tionol.

J.

Well Congrats Justine, I got married in September too. Eleven years ago, feels like 30.

You have been holding him off for a long time. Waiting for him to forget about his early wedding gift to you so you can get something else.

That’s it exactly! I told him I want a rocking chair.

J.

Hi Justine

Not trying to scare you, but if you are thinking of having kids, which are wonderful, a rocking chair is a must. Very good for the early years. Our rocking chair has not been sat in for some time now, but was great rocking the kids to sleep.

Douglas, are you psychic or something?

J.

He hee  only in the pipes department it seems!

wonder if she will be hard to impress :stuck_out_tongue: il need her number for meetin her though coz yous will be leavin soon! i dont know if i should bring my pipes 9 days without them :astonished: !! i think il bring them! get a party on the go  hehe, cho

Going to Willie Week without your pipes is a lot like a non drinker participating in a wine tasting event.

Bring your pipes, son.

Joseph I think he meant his GHP.. well I hope that is what he meant !! He is booked in to the beginners class so I am presuming he will be bringing his practice set to that. Which reminds me of a week in Miltown where a participant ,who had his pipes ,chose not to bring them into the class, but instead brought a tape recorder and recorded the lessons. He then said that he would practice later and told us he was doing so at midnight at the Cliffs of Moher! :boggle: we never had the benefit of hearing the results of his practice sessions as he never brought the pipes into class.Takes all sorts.

J.
