Has anyone tried the ring flute?

Has anyone tried the ring flute?

I thought about it, but decided to wait until they made one in D and the right way 'round.

I was thinking about buying one, but decided I needed a Water Weasel, and the ceiling light tube would have to wait… but I want one!

How would you put a ring flute into a whistle roll?

Oder one and I’ll figure it out! LOL!

You’d put the roll through the flute, like an oversize napkin ring.

That’s the second one on my list of brainfarts on the topic, LOL!

A high end napkin holder would realy impress guests when they came over to get stuffed.

jessie, where are you on this issue? the question was asked seriously, and you have always tried everything

I have never heard of it.

And an earlier discussion of said oddity:

Looks like it would be easy to do rolls on it.

The maker seemed interested in having me review one…but then after the first couple of emails, I never heard from him again.

Wasen’t it in the key of A? Thought that was an odd key (at least I have little use for it).

Looking at the picture a differant finger sequence would be needed. I do like the unique apperance. Looks like the price went down. We could put our change togeather, buy one and mail it around. Oh no, there is that around pun again.

I know. Isn’t it funny how it keeps going around like that?

I don’t think that it’s a “vessel” Flute so putting your lower hand through the centre of the ring would give you usual hand positions. Obviously a high D is out of the question, but a low D should be possible.

I haven’t tried it. I thought about trying it, though.
