It’s snowing here. Of all the dastardly, hideous things for the first day of spring.
we have 0°C and light snowfall. but in the morning when i wake up i can hear a few birds singing. some trees have already buds. so spring can’t be far away. in a few weeks we will celebrate the 1st of may in the lush green forest. the weather will be fine and the beer will be plenty 
We had our Ostara ritual in the woods today. We met at the pub and revived at the pub. There was beautiful sunshine, then a sprinkling of rain, then more brilliant sunshine, then a thunderstorm with hailstones.
But we had a good time.
Got out the ol’ snowblower again, there was so much of it. Thing is, it’s warm enough so that there was still some melt, and the poor wheezy little machine doesn’t handle slush all that well.
Snow. Yay.
Hmm, seems that not only moscow is having heavy snowfalls in these first days of spring
I hate to be the sour apple in the bunch, but this was taken around 4:30pm or so, in San Dimas Canyon near home with my camera phone. I was on my road bike and I had to stop and take it all in.
I kept thinking that I was only 15 minutes away from the freeway; all you heard was the small creek and some insects buzzing around.
It’s still snowing.
We woke up to 3 inches of Spring this morning. I’ve got 49 dogs and 4 cats in the kennel and the snow makes things harder.
We just got back from south Utah/Grand canyon (stay tuned for pictures!) where the temps were in the '60’s and low 70’s. Sunny and beautiful hiking weather.
We came across South Pass last night in a complete white-out. Seriously couldn’t see from one snow plow marker to the next. The kind of weather where the only thing scarier than going on is stopping.
Woke up to 20 degrees F this morning, sunny and lovely outside.
Welcome back to Wyoming. 
Wow! Folks in Missouri and Arkansas got over a foot of rain. Hope there’s no C&F-ers affected. Not the happiest way to bring in Spring.

It’s still 72 dF and sunny here, same as it was in January. The trees are blooming, but we had a bit of light rain last night, so the pollen is under control for the moment.
And don’t think I didn’t see that menu item up there, Weeks. Ick.
A brand new day,
A holiday,
And an inch of new snow on the ground;
An old fashioned Spring.

SIGH! It was short lived, as I knew it would be. It never stays warm for too long in March here in the North Country. Right now it’s 13F and I don’t think it’s going to get much over 20F at all today. Oh well…at least I had that squishiness for a short amount of time 
Does it count if I’m going (sitting in the airport as I type) to Detroit where it is snowing???
Of course it does. So long as it’s still snowing when you get there and you manage to feel vaguely outraged, that is.
I always wanted postcards with a photo of some poor shmuck shoveling away @$$deep in snow, with the words inside: “Wish you were here.”
I’d send it to my friends in sunnier locations.
