Yup, I walked/skated out to the town centre (finally got myself some detachable skates like John’s), bought myself a new book and some groceries, and got chatted up by three guys on the way home, lol. Then tonight we had birthday apple pie and watched some MacGyver DVDs that I picked up in the states last month. 
I’m a party animal, as you well know.
Re: Harry Potter - nah, I always read someone else’s copy when they’re done, so don’t tell me anything about it for the first couple weeks!
That’s 'cos time zones no longer match up…my biggest period of online time is when all you 'merikins are still asleep! Harder to get into count-inflating conversations that way 
That doesn’t seem to slow Dubhlinn down very much. I can’t figure out when he sleeps…

Time Zones are the bane of my life and I know how the Birthday Girl feels.
Last week I was off work …this week I am on the 14:00 till 22:00 then next week I am on 06:00 till 14:00 so I tend to banter more with the European contingent that week.I normally stay up till about 04:00ish this shift but next week it’s usually around 00:00 when I go to bed.
Lucky for me - and unlucky for you Yanks - I don’t need a lot of sleep.

Sara, I bought some sticks of butter on our recent roadtrip; quite a revelation. Butter is not so neatly divided into sticks for cooking in the UK.
Actually, as Beth will tell you, let me loose in any US food store for an hour or two and I’ll go through the following stages:

- gut-ache.
