Happy Birthday Michael..

Love him or hate him, he is what he is..and he’s fifty today.

Somebody had to mention it..

I’m a huge fan meself…

Slan,
D.

Thanks Dubh…
I’ve mentioned this before, but my honeymoon, circa 1984, was spent driving from Maryland, up the East Coast to Maine, across to Nova Scotia (and P.E. Island) by ferry,*(then west across New Brunswick…) then south again by way of Québec and Montreal.
Somewhere in the early stages of this 2 week odyssey, hubby acquired the Thriller cassette and pretty much wore it out in the little Toyota Corolla.
But we’re still married.

*edit.

Oh…that Michael.

Hee hee hee.

djm

yep - me, Michael Jackson, and Donny Osmond are all the same age…

Sounds like puppy love.

djm

Well…that’s what they called it.

The geography confuses me, but hey…what an album.

Slan,
D.

Not a fan, other than Billie Jean, but I can appreciate the skill and talent he has.

SIGH! I’ll admit it…I had a poster of him up in my room, knew ALL the words to ALL the songs on the Thriller album, and was madder than mad that my best friend won tickets to see him in Montréal and didn’t take ME!!! It was a cool poster though…right up there next to Madonna and John Taylor (oh my heart…LOL! )

At least Madonna is still alive, in the larger sense. Michael Jackson has kind of been dead for decades. I feel sorry for him.

This is the only poster I had on my wall as a kid at home-

a Frazetta lovingly entitled “Death Dealer”

I liked the way the horse was painted.

Frazetta was my introduction to Robert E. Howard. Should I thank him, or just listen to the screams as I plunder your villages and rape your women?

Only reason I’m dredging MJ up again is that since Dubh’s admission of geography-confusion I’ve been trying to think how to draw on a map and make it into a jpg using iWorks…and I did it, so–rather than let it rot on the hard drive–I’ll post it here. Thanks for your indulgence.
(for some reason the jpg shows up on Safari, but not Firefox. no comprendo.)

Its a Thriller…

wheres the jpg?

Slan,
D.

just seen the addendum..ah well.

D.

technical difficulties.

OO! That little stretch that goes from Montreal to the next little white box, right next to the green blob (which is the Adirondack Park) is where I live! Looks like a fun trip.

Well, at least Izz can see it.

Dub can’t help it…it’s the eyes that go first you know

Better go off now and shave my palms :boggle:

Slan,
D.
