got my favourite whistle now

hello evryone

after a long while of searchings,i got my favourite whistle last friday.
A Overton soprano D,2nd hand from Bloomfield .
when i searched for one a while ago here, and he offered me one of his overton´s cause he had too much of them .
so after some troubles we got a solution and he send me his whistle.
and the last friday she arrived then ,and after a few polishs she looked pretty well, and sounded as well .so,to test the whistle in a real situation i joined some auld friends playing in amsterdam ina concert and later ina session in wesel /germany .even if itwas a switch from a modified generation to a overton itwas pretty easy, after 15 minutes itwas no problem .the good thing is that a overton whistle is more stronger in the sound and established,so the sound never fades suddenly except you get too much condense water from the mouth in the fipple.
will show some of the pictures soon .
in those few days i had much fun with the whistle, and thats a sometimes important effect if you play professional that you never lose the happyness cause of problems with the work equipment .
so I wanna thank bloomfield once for the good idea with the sale and that it worked so well ,i want to thank colin goldie, the fantastic maker of this whistles ,and even those that offered me other whistle, its a great thing that i got so much help offers here, its fantastic for me thank you very much.

greetings,Julian

Congratulations.

Julian, I’m so glad you got one! Sounds like a perfect match.

Mine is still looking for a home. I simply could not figure out the payment and delivery from here to there. But you are happy, and you have your new favorite. Yippee!

Hooray

Bloomfield, if you find yourself having “too many” Copeland soprano Ds as well, remember: I voted for you in the “Excellence in Posting Award.”

I’ll remember it. Don’t hold you’re breath, though. I don’t even own a Copeland whistle.

Hey Julian, glad she arrived and that you like her. Her name is Franny.

Congratulations Julian. Can’t do better than an Overton.

BTW, you won’t have condensation problems if you warm the whistle up properly before you play it. Just cover the windway and blow until it warms up. Alternatively put it someplace warm before you play it. Your armpit. A friends armpit. Use your imagination.

Well, Craig, you’ve just blown your chance of getting my soprano Copeland D.

Hey, that’s my whistle from Wombly. Promises were made, gifts were exchanged!

You’re selling your eldest daughter to Wombat for a Copeland whistle?

That, my friend, is debatable! :astonished:
