Got Lolly Cross's CD today!

I’m enjoying it muchly! As she said in her original post, it’s not a “Celtic-sounding” CD, but the music is really, really lovely (and, to be honest, more the style I play). I particularly like the harmonies (makes me want to connect with more musicians…it would be nice to play harmony like that occasionally!). Anyway, if you’re looking for something a little different, I highly recommend it.

Is there a website to order and/or listen to samples of the Lolly Cross CD? Failing that could you or someone else post the back label (titles, times and credits) or a link to the original thread. Thanks.

Hi Redwolf,

I am really enjoying my Lolly CD too. I have been using it alot to practice my Hammered Dulcimer accompaniment. I am not good enough yet to keep up with her on my whistle. Though I try. :astonished: She has such clean playing it helps to make it easier to find the notes though, now if I just had the amazing slow downer, I maybe could play my whistle along with her too. I also play my whistle more in the style that Lolly plays. I think probably most of us do. I just wish I could do it as well as Lolly does.

Cheers,
Kathy

Thanks ladies, I’m glad you are enjoying my c.d.
My next one will be a fast one with lots of instruments, so a lot
harder to play along with, but then I’ll have a few slower ones too!

If it’s not too much trouble, it would be fun to know what whistles you were playing on the various tunes. I think you mentioned playing a Susato on one of them?

Redwolf

Sure:
#1 Silkstone PVC D (in green)/changing to Silkstone PVC C (in red, ha ha ha)
#2, #3, #4, #5, #7, #9, #10, #12, #14, #15, #16 = all the Silkstone D
#6 the red C
#8, #13 the Susato in B (black)
#11 Susato Bflat (brown) THE SMALL BORE ONE (to answer your
other post)…
(note if you are playing along, Redwolf, I fingered all of them as if
they were a D whistle…just made the Violin play in flats and sharps,
ha ha)

As I’ve said before, it is truly an outstanding CD, and, like you, Redwolf, a lot closer to how I play, too! My almost 3 year old granddaughter loves it, too!!!
