Halfway through the shift I decided to learn the alphabet backwards. Took a while, but when your hands get into the rhythm and you are making parts at 75 an hour you need to think about something. So now I can do the zyxwvut… to the tune of Gilligan’s Island’s theme tune.
I think I am going to bring in lyrics to songs to memorize next shift.
Haha… I did the exact same thing when I worked on a production line, and I can do the entire thing, and I sing it to the melody of the actual alphabet song… It works out nicely until you get to the end, where it gets a bit awkward. “A” is a bit of an off stopping point. I hope I’ll get pulled over and given a sobriety check so I can get an excuse to perform it.
There are these guys who can sing the Beverly Hillbillies song with the word order completely reversed, which is the obvious next step after mastering the alphabet.
