Actually just learned GG is in Ennis. A pupil (well. her parents) is thinking of ordering a halfset and I am going over in the next couple of days to check out his pipes. Any impressions, information?
i just recently received a chanter from gordon,and its top notch,scalloped holes,tuning is spot on,made for cillian obriain type reeds,can hear on clips n snips.iam sure the drones are very nice. you will want set for yourself after playing. cheers!
Agreed, very Cillian-esque. I tried some of his latest work last July and would feel comfortable recommending it, especially to someone who had a preference for C O’B’s work.
Gordon’s work is very good and his chanter is beautifully in tune. I would recommend his work.
