Could be a fantastic deal on a keyed flute.

Bump.

If only I had some money…

I like his addition of the tenon rings.

Great idea reaming a German flute into a R&R…

Hey now.

I have the flute that Jon C. is refering too, I like it a lot

In fact the tenon rings and socket linings are original…this was a cut above average german flute before I worked on it.
All the Best

cool i didn’t know that Hammy is a member of the forum
Nice to see you here

I’ve one almost identical in that respect, looks very similar but mine also has the silver band over the embouchure, also re-worked by someone in the past for the same reasons (but probably not as effectively!). It’s ended up pretty much in tune although the scale is a bit ‘stretched’ at 440 (it might have once been high pitched). All in all, very playable, although the brass tuning slide could do with a little stretching for a snugger fit. I’m not sure I’d have risked the kind of money this one went for on Ebay though.

How much did it go for Mark?

I used to own one also, but I never had it worked on and it was a bit off everyone told me when I played at sessions.

950 EUR, ~ $1,500, or ~ £757.61

Glad to see you are still working your magic over here Jon. I’m still playing that old pretty good German flute that you re-reemed for me years ago making it a superb pretty good old German flute.
Did I say that right??? :boggle:

Take care;

Tom

TOM!!! How ya doin’?

Doing well, still flitting about to see whats next. I was just thinking about Jon C the other day and happened across this post. Didn’t want to hijack or anything like that, just good to see Jon is still doing his thing.

Tom

Hi Tom,
Still here, after all these years… Are ya still up there in Alaska, with the big horses?
