I’m currently researching the whistle in Scotland, but on a more general note, can anyone advise me where to find out more about Generation whistles: when they started being manufactured, etc.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but as you probably know they produced all-metal models long before the plastic-head jobs came in. I think that the parent company is Rose-Morris. Could they not put you in touch with the Generation factory (which is somewhere in SW England if I’m not mistaken)?
