Joe can you email the pics to me at my home email address or PM. I want to show the wife I REALLY WAS AT THE TIONOL.
Thanks
Gary, you should be able to right-click on any image and save it to your PC.

I am so tempted to quote this last message and alllllllllllllll it’s photographs
Finder’s fee of 30% if you do, and follow through with a brilliant blackmail scheme. ![]()
Sorry about the ‘bad’ quote with all the pics. I am not used to all the “ins and outs” of posting on the forum.
Pardon my ignorance and thanks to Joe for posting the pics and to DJM for the tip. I was able to get them on my PC.

Here’s a shot of Kieran O’Hare and Brian McNamara in Sunday morning’s class.

Cheers,

Nice photo Mark. Glad to see you made it back to PA safe and sound. Hope you had fun. ![]()
I sure did. And I learned that both my chanter reeds were rubbish, so not all my piping issues are entirely with the player. Fortunately, Gary was kind enough to make me a new reed, and what a difference a good reed makes. It sounds like a pipe chanter! It plays in the 2nd octave! Makes me want to learn to make my own reeds!
Cheers,
Mark
Learning to make your own reeds, IMHO, is the way to go… even if you continue to purchase reeds from a reedmaker. It is a good thing to have a working understanding of how they function. I am happy for you Mark.
Gary, way to go. You are truly a credit to your fellow Georgia Pipers. ![]()
It was also very nice to meet Dave Boling, and get a chance to try out the Purple Gidgee chanter by David Boisvert of Greenwood pipes. It is a beautiful set, even more so in person, and the chanter was not only in fine tone but very comfertable to hold. The new reed needs to be broken in (played) but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the set.
For those interest in it, I believe it is still for sale on Pat D’Arcy’s Uilleann Obssession site, http://www.uilleannobsession.com/ , under classified ads. $2,100 is a great price for a great 1/2 set IMHO.

Whoever snatches these pipes up will be a very happy camper. I would have if not for the fact that I already have new drones and regs being built for me… by David Boisvert.
More 2005 florida tionol images are now available in my pub.
my, er, pub folder that is… though i like the idea of a maze pub.
i will replace the images tomorrow with renamed ones that make more sense than sony’s naming scheme.
i know kathleen has some up on her site as well… and they are good.
thanks again to the organizers.
