Interest is growing on a few of these, so if you are “thinking” about snapping one of these up, you might want to act soon.
Nice pics Mark. The maker of the Silkstone is, I believe, Paul Heyward. That’s a really odd looking head on the Syn. I have the Silkstone PVC C and the O’Briain low F - both are solid fine whistles. Good luck with the sale.
Best,
Philo
Quite right you are Philo, thanks!
Matt (a.k.a. Mark)
The “odd looking head” on the Syn is actually very comfortable. I’m sure other people on this board that own this style of Syn would agree?
As far as I can tell, all but the Cillian O’Briain low F, are taken . . . I will change the posting once the deal is confirmed for each.
I might be open to a trade+cash if someone is interested in trading a good tunable high C. I will need one soon. I have a Hoover narrow bore C, but it’s way too quiet for performance.
When I was selling all my whistles (except my Chieftain Gold Low D) to go toward the “Darkside” (Uilleann Pipes), I let go of a beautiful Cillian O’Briain Low F. I have spoken with Matt about buying his, but funds are tied up.
Who ever gets this Low F (Oh how I wish it could be me… ) will have a prized instrument since Cillian is no longer making whistles of any kind and has placed all is talents into making pipes.
You are tmepting me Keith, even more I have been pondering that low F but I would need to sell some stuff first.
I use to play along with Lunasa with my Cillian O’Briain Low F and I mean it was right on…
I am not posting to this thread anymore…I really miss my Low F…
Yes I am tempting you Avery…you get this whistle and you won’t reqret it…ok thats it…no more posting on this thread for me…
Keith, would you like a tissue?
Thanks for all interest . . . it appears these will all be spoken for . . . I’ll update the listing as soon as each whistle deal closes.
