I am selling my Thornton whistle in the key of D. The head is made out of ebony, and it was the first wood top whistle he sold. It is marked #001 on the back. It is a pretty cool collection piece, but I am now just keep the whistles I play the most. It is a good whistle with a nice tone, but it is too quiet for my liking. I am out of an apartment, so I don’t need to be quiet any more. Also, I find that it clogs easily, but I can’t tell if it is clogging or back pressure. The brass body is a little tarnished, but I am sure it can be buffed out. I am asking $65.00 plus $5.00 S&H. You can also make me an offer; I am a nice guy. I also take paypal.
Hi all,
I haven’t been around the forum much lately with work/touring/ life in general I hope you are all well.
Any how,
I’d like to offer whoever wins this whistle on ebay a free overhaul.
I’m sure the original owner took great care of it but because it is 001 from the wooden topped range I’d like to take a look at it and make sure it’s tip top shape and make sure the tuning is spot on.
