Another one of my flutes for sale on Ebay. This time an almost brand new Ralph Sweet (Sweetheart) keyless Maple flute. Thinning out my collection to pay for one of those flutes you have to have on order for a while!

Unable to find it in a search on eBay.
Said the same thing about the Bleazey he has in another thread - not sure what the story is…
Hi Guys
I am no whizz on these matters but both of my flutes are on Ebay. They are within Musical instruments, flutes and titled IRISH FLUTE wooden. I am in the uk, if that makes any difference. Thanks for the comments.

Does this price make sense? It seems to be a good deal more than a new one of these,
or am I mistaken?
@ Gremlin/Hobgoblin UK (new): UK £339.00 = US $529.00
@ Sweetheart Flutes US (direct): US $295.00
Hi Guys
Thanks for the input. I did indeed purchase this flute only a few weeks ago from hobgoblin in the uk. Before I decided to rationalise my flute collection for something altogether more expensive.

I’m not trying to cast doubt on your ebay auction, but for your Sweetheart flute in maple, I can’t see the S surrounded by a heart which all Sweetheart flutes presumably have. If you can upload a close-up of this then it might help your sale.
It’s a sweetheart, no question. I don’t think anyone will doubt that.
I only mentioned it because as a beginner myself I am not that confident in being able to spot a fake. It is ebay after all and having spent the last month looking at all kinds of pitfalls that a beginner could fall into, I would be very nervous of buying it without knowing for sure.
by omission
It us a bit difficult to start a thread here with something dodgy an have it go unmentioned
Hi Guy
It IS a Sweetheart and was purchased from Hobgolin in the UK. I have added another photo showing the serial number on the rear of the flute.

As I said, I’m only a beginner but that strikes me as a good thing to do. You can’t rely on potential buyers on ebay knowing about this forum, yet alone seeing this thread. I saw quite a few expensive looking flutes that after a couple of hours of looking on-line and comparing pictures turned out to be over-priced Pakistani flutes.
In the end I went for a Padauk Sweetheart flute from their clearance sale (number 926 so it must be a lot older than I thought, it’s quite a dark brown as well!). It took ages to get through customs though. I mailed quite a few flute makers directly but they all seemed out of stock and told me to wait 2 or 3 months. if I had seen your item being auctioned at the time and with identifying photos such as that serial number it would have sorely tempted me.
Out of interest, how does the Sweetheart compare to the Bleazey? I’d like to get a Bleazey eventually but I can’t afford it yet.
gremlins everywhere!
yep…last post to the first page is also the 1st post on the 2nd page (which is wrong)
and the post count is wrong…happened to me yesterday afternoon
If anyone wants a new Sweatheart instrument, I suggest you call Ralph directly then there will be no mystery about whether its authentic or not. Also, he’ll make it custom for you if you have something particular in mind.
this thread is looking for an EU buyer, as the flute is already in the UK
It makes no sense to ship the flute back to the US, having already paid to bring in into the UK
