Here are the whistles in question:
Susato Bb tuneable. Maroon in color with some black electrical tape shoring up a crack at the base of the headjoint. it has the usual teethmarks of use. This one has a standard bore and it’s plenty loud with that round, open tone Susatos are known for.
Susato A nontuneable. off-white with black fipple and clip-on thumb rest. It has far fewer teethmarks than the previous Susato. Cnat fingering(which is really Gnat) is oxxxxo. Standard bore…but it’s tone is slightly more earthy than the Bb.
GFM(that’s Granite Falls Manufacturing) D/G set in Aluminium. The G body is a tenor or low and the D body is soprano. This set was featured on a tour Chuck did about a year ago. The G body plays with a nice rounded, airy tone and is fairly easy to blow. Cnat fingering(actually Fnat) is oxxxxo.
the D body has a much bolder sound though still a little on the breathy side. It takes a lot of blow and is quite possibly the loudest whistle on the planet. Both whistles are very responsive as long as you have confident hole coverage…they’re unforgiving in that respect…but still nice.
The only note on the condition is that I used some ultra-fine sandpaper on the headjoint and G body…now the have a “brushed” kind of finish similar to an Overton. The D body is still shiny…but not polished(Chuck released these whistles in a slightly unfinished state…no high polish, just aluminum)
So here’s what I’m looking for…
I’m looking to trade any or all of these whistles for a different Bb(possibly a Jerry Gen, Reyburn, Burke, or other) or for a different Low G(similar makers sans the Jerry) or for both.
The Susato Bb sells new for $37.50
The Susato A sells new for $42.90
The GFM set is worth roughly $135.00
Send me a PM
Cheers,
