Pakistani made low d in brass? steel?
Not a good whistle…but I suppose it’s ok if you’d like to get a feel for playing a low D.
$10…or free with any of the higher priced instruments I’m selling.

Un-named but unusual C whistle.
This whistle has yet to be identified. Nobody ever ID’d it when I put up a post several months ago. Anyways, It is essentially a plated brass tube with a cork plug and a v-shaped crescent soundblade. The windway is a flat, narrow, wafer-like channel of the same plated brass that has been welded onto the top of the tube. Another piece goes around the body and acts as a wall on either side of the windway. It has a few dings but nothing serious. I fought for this whistle on eBay(darn WhOA) and it cost me like $40…it’s yours for $25

Calura conical C whistle.
Very rusty/rustic sounding and won’t play a Cnat(or Bb if you wanna get technical) with any fingering. This is an antique and it looks like one.
Free with any other purchase.

2 rolled tin whistles…Cooperman made I think.
$10 for both or free with another purchase

Another miscellaneous whistle…green with black fipple and absolutely free.

Last but not least…
Antique whistle by Ch. Mathieu of Paris. Made of pewter in D during the late 1800’s. It sounds allright and the tuning is modern and decent. An interesting piece since it has been cast in a mold rather than made from rolled tin or such.

So here is what I’m looking for in trades… I’m looking for a session grade C whistle first and foremost. I’m also interested in a strong sounding Mezzo G. I’ll consider other trades in partial or total payment for any or all of these whistles if such trades seem reasonable to me.
I’ll take payment via Paypal or Postal Money Order.

Thanks for looking and I hope to do business with some of you fine people!!

Cheers, Jason

I’d also like to add that I’m looking for Irish and Scottish tunebooks that have chords, lyrics, and whistle friendly notation. I’ve just started playing in a group and we’d like to expand our repitoire. Thanks guys!

If you are looking for tunes/songs with chords and have some tune names in mind, check out:

http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/cgi/abc/tunefind

If you search the name of a tune or song, it is usually in the archive. Not all tunes have chords, but a number of them do, especially if it is a fairly known tune. Also, there are often many versions. For sheet music, click on the “.gif” link next to the tune names.

I am not associated with this site at all, but I like using it very much!

2 sold…the rest are still available…minus the Gen D tube which is going off as a freebie with the Hoover.
