I think they are quite good deals, and the boxwood flute is likely gone already.

Funny story, I was selling these to fund a prospective new/old Wm Hall & sons in boxwood to match the one I have in Cocus and play most often. It went up for auction today in Boston, and got “stolen” for a much lower bid than I tried to place in the online auction because the auction house didn’t take my bid (even though I was registered and approved). Guess they were too busy rushing to sell the hundreds of stringed instruments that were going for thousands to worry about making a couple of hundred dollars extra. One electric guitar went for $80K, and the violins were selling for twice the highest quoted price on a regular basis. Heck, violin bows were selling for well over a grand each. Guess we are really pretty lucky with wooden flute and whistle prices, in the larger scheme of instruments they are a real bargain.
