FS M+E Delrin flute, no rings, larger holes

FS, M+E, delrin (polymer flute), lined head, embouchure is rounded rectangle, has R+R bore, but large holes. Projects well, good session flute. Comes with case. Reason for selling-it’s on the heavy side for me.

Bought from board member for $300 recently. Please PM me if you have questions.

Just wanted to say this is a great price for a very good flute. The more I play mine, the more I love it.

Eric

So was it made with larger tone holes? Did someone bore it them out larger?

I am not the original owner, but I think it was made with larger holes. There is variation in embouchure cuts and hole sizes in M+E flutes. He used to make two models (“standard” and R+R), but I understand is now making only the R+R.

Here is a recent thread that touches on some of these issues:

or you can search using “cronnolly and model” to pull up many more.

Best,

Sale pending.

It will have the R&R logo on the endcap if that is what model it its.

Not necessarily, but it will probably at the least say Rudall & Rose on it.
The one that I previously owned (and Jayhawk now owns) doesn’t have the R&R logo. Just says M&E Rudall and Rose or something like that if I’m remembering right. And it’s possible that I’m not

No Jonathan, you’re memory is right on the money. It just says M&E R&R.

Eric

I can’t really remember what mine had, so I assumed it was the R&R logo. Taken from the M&E site, here is why I thought that.

Maybe Congratulations can say what my old one has.

Mine is like that ^^^ but no seal in the middle. Just “Rudall & Rose” and “M&E” around the edge.

It has the words, “Rudall & Rose” around the top of the end cap, and “M&E” around the bottom. It’s not the patent symbol.
